There is a short list of commonly asked questions that frequently drift into the
offices of ItalianVillas dot com, and although the answers are buried
somewhere in the pages herein let's make it easy on our guests and
potential customers, here is our top ten list:
1) Where are we located?
We are located on the east coast one hour north of New York City by train. Perfect for day trips. Our address is:
Internet Villas, Inc
8 Knight Street, Suite 205
Norwalk, CT 06851 USA
tel: (US Country Code 001) 203-855-8161
fax: (US Country Code 001) 203-855-0506
2) How long have we been in business?
Online since 1995.
3) Do we have any references? How do you know this company
actually exists?
Yes, we exist. Consumer Reports, Travel Newsletter, October 1997
certified this and so has other publications such as Conde Nast,
Traveler, Travel & Leisure and others. We also belong to a third
party internet organization that monitors complaints. You can
check our records there. Go to
netcheck.com and browse through
their site for our rating. Look under "Vacation, Inc."
4) Do we have a catalog?
No, sorry. We are the first villa company that has been entirely
online from the beginning. Is this a hinderance for you? Certainly
not, instead it is a benefit. We will print out your request and send
it to you and you can easily share the description with your party by
having them view our pages along with you, no matter where they
live.
5) What can you expect at the villa when you arrive?
A clean place stocked with all the cutlery, pots and pans, dishes,
cups and saucers, coffee maker...to make your stay a pleasant one.
Unless it is a large place, or one of our top shelf properties, the
utensils are usually fairly simple and functional enough to prepare some nice
meals. Nothing too fancy unless you have choosen a rental; that is a cut above the others. You are also supplied clean towels, dish
towels, linens and a roll of toilet paper. It is similar to staying
at a condo at the beach, if you have ever done that.
Take a look at our "Tips" page to view more information on what you need.
6) What is the procedure of payment?
It's real simple. You select a villa, we put it on hold. Then we send
you a contract, invoice and Terms &
Conditions. Return this with a 50% deposit - that makes the
reservation. The balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival.
7) What form of payment do we accept?
In order of preference: Checks drawn on a U.S. Bank, wire transfer
from over seas (we will provide you with instructions for your bank
officer), Discover Card, American Express, and lastly Visa and
Mastercard.
8) When do you send us directions?
When the final payment is received (60 days prior), a final package is sent to you.
This will include a voucher, directions, a small map, printout of the
best photo we have and some other things.
9) What is the best time of the year to go to Italy?
Our favorites are late April - early June and mid September - end of
October. Winter is cold and rainy, summer can be hot. But anytime in
Italy is good.
10) How far in advance should I make reservations?
If you are a large party that require a pool, a year makes sense. At
least 9 months. If you are 2 people, a month or two before often is
enough advance notice.
We hope that is helpful, and as we promised only the "Top Ten"
